CONCERTO IN A MINOR, arranged for two pianos | Edvard Grieg |
The piano reduction of the orchestral part was created by Percy Grainger, who performed
similar magic on other concertos. The Piano-I part is an exact replica of the standard work.
A lifelong friend of Grieg and champion of his music, Grainger
would later solo the orchestral version with Grieg conducting, nearly forty years after its premier. For more
details on the concerto and its history, see the main page,
The TUTTI sections are optionally played by both pianos.
