CHORAL FANTASY: FINALE, for piano & chorus Beethoven

This mini-work features a piano reduction of the combined piano and orchestral parts.  It is frequently used for choral rehearsals.  Albeit lacking the orchestral sounds of the primary work, the piano part is more comprehensive (and somewhat more difficult).  In this version the pianist is busy all the time, instead or being idle for 84 bars.

The music begins with a significant piano introduction.  Those unable to follow the music on a computer screen will find it impossibly difficult to coordinate the piano part with the entrance of the chorus.  To that end, I have prepared a "shorty" version of the work, which eliminates the 13 bars of the solo on page #1.  There is a 2-beat choral lead-in; then the work begins in earnest at measure #14.  An alternative "page 2" of the sheet music reflects this adjustment.

As page-turning is problematical in this non-stop performance, I have provided a condensed accompaniment score for the piano part only, utilizing numerous repeats.  As some modules are played more than twice, the number of repeats is shown by a number (n) above the forward-repeat bar.  So a (4) indicates that a section is played a total of 4 times.   The page-count is thusly reduced from 14 to 6.

The standard accompaniment features tuplets in the right hand, measures #47-62, and in the left hand, measures #63-68.  They are shown as doublets in the score; feel free to play them in threes — if you can do it up to speed.

The MP3 playback has a 3-beat lead-in.
