Chesler Park Loop Canyonlands National Park, Utah |
April 25, 2021
Well, this was more work than expected, but certainly was worth it. It also degenerated into two different hikes; the three fast walkers opted for the more difficult route up to Druid Arch, which I visited last year.
An easy passage if one is skinny
The marvelous Joint Trail is down there. Wish we had the gumption for it.
Starting down the more primitive loop
Misplaced the trail in here, necessitating a minor scramble
The Druid Arch Trail is in sight
The section that takes us twenty minutes
Sulphur Buckwheat, without the flowers
Closing the loop at the real slab
The ubiquitous La Sal Mountains
Carmine rests in a triple archlet

This world-famous roadside attraction is not to be missed on the
return. The absence of direct sunlight enables my best-ever photos here.
