Behind Winnemucca Lake Mokelumne Wilderness |
August 29, 2019
Well, you did a Ted-Hike and survived! Actually, that's about the roughest route I can remember. If you can do that one, then you can do anything.
It surely was worth it, though. I was a bit weary, but not a bit sore. Already I want to go back. I believe that next year, I'll try the loop in the opposite direction; that way, most of the hard work will be done first, and some of the scenery will change.
Approaching Ted's Garden #1 — the big meadow

Steep passage
Trading places
They'll have to believe you now
Tarn #3, Red Lake Peak, and Lake Tahoe
Starting the big downhill
Flowers galore
Hairy False Goldenmaster
Red Elderberry
Traversing the Jumbles, with Tarns #3 & #2 visible
(Note the two dark spots in the sky: a camera glitch)
The Jumbles did their job
It's a cakewalk from here
