Sierra Buttes Lakes Basin Recreation Area |
September 25, 2016
There was some cleaner-fluid gunk on my camera lens, so many of today's photos were not up to par. The company, however, was great.
Starting up the Pacific Crest Trail
The objective is up there, in the sunlight
On the trail
The motley crew
Young American Lake and Lower Sardine Lake
Lassen Peak, 10463', is 79 miles away
The Sutter Buttes are 68 miles distant
Bill and Judi are on their way
Sardine Lakes are 2,600 feet below
Jackson Meadows Reservoir and English Mountain to the south
A 6-year-old named Grants is approaching
Down the dreaded stairs
Nice rocks
Young American Lake is nearly 700 feet below
Last views of the lookout
Spectacular pointed rocks on the hilltop
And a couple of photos from Bill:
