Buenos Aires to Bariloche |
March 7, 2012
Before heading to the Buenos Aires airport this morning, there is time to visit a local flea market, where not much has opened yet.
It looks like the Washington Monument
At last — the Andes! Bariloche lies to the left (south) of the lake
From the little airport, it is an hour-long cab ride to our hotel overlooking the big lake.
The hotel grounds are ten miles from town
It's a 2½-mile walk to a restaurant
This nice Italian place has flower petals on the table tops
David has proclaimed that this will be my most expensive meal of the entire trip; I hope that proves to be the case. Our first real test comes tomorrow as we tackle the area's most arduous hike.
