As of April 20, 2022, this area of the park is  CLOSED TO VISITATION.  Moreover, any violation of this closure could result in a fine of $5,000 and 6 months in jail.  Do not go there.

Sorry folks, but this is just another example of a restriction resulting from the ever-increasing incidences of vandalism and destruction by people with no moral compass.

The fact that I have been a life-long champion of native rock art should be apparent from the fact that my web-site avatar, Petey the Petroglyph, introduces nearly all of my pages!  My article did not specify a precise location; nor would I ever do so for any site that was not already well-publicized.  In fact, as many details remain available on the National Park Service page as ever were featured on my own page.

Nevertheless, I respect the request from the Zion Park Archaeologist to discourage visitation to this area.  Perhaps the closure will be suspended at a future date, but don't hold your breath.  How likely is it that the vandals of the world might suddenly cease their low-life behavior?
