Ted's Hiking World A Stroll in
Madonna di Campiglio

September 21, 2014

The sun is out this morning; and that actually is a bit depressing, because Dave and I don't plan to go anywhere.  It will rain this afternoon, and we both are bone-weary in any case after yesterday's marathon outing.

Our hotel is easily the nicest place in which I ever have stayed:

*
The Lobby

*
The Bar

*
Dining room
*
Lounge

*
View from our room

*
Another 'managed' section of creek beside the hotel

We cannot stay in the room all day, though; so Dave and I embark upon separate short walks.  Dave finds a trail to somewhere, which we might use tomorrow; I content myself with a stroll around a portion of the town:

*
Bicycle playground

*
Actually, there are no bears around here

*
The town skating rink
*
Our place is over there somewhere

Main Street is lined with flowers on both sides.  Here's why:

*
Garden Dahlia

*
(same)

*
Melampodium

*
New Giunea Impatiens

*
Ivy Geranium

*
Garden Petunia

*
Oxeye Daisy

*
Garden Dahlia

*
New Guinea Impatiens

*
Garden Dahlia

*
(same)

*
Antennaria Rosea

The showstopper of the garden is the New Guinea Impatiens:

This is why I have a camera

Tomorrow is our last day in the Dolomites.  The weather projection is for clear skies, and it's about time.
