This page reflects the talents of Pamelia deGaines (1939-1989). Her collages were inspired by "The Book of Imaginary Beings," by Jorge Luis Borges; no paints were used in their creation — just black ink and colored tissue paper. The works were featured in a 1970 show at Pam's gallery on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. Included on the page are three later drawings.
These insights into life also are by Ms. deGaines. All of her works are previously unpublished online.

Fractint,
These bitmap images are ready for use on your Windows PC. Image dimensions have been resized to 740×555 pixels. Selecting center mode leaves room for rows of icons on every side of the graphic, so that they need not be obscured by a complicated picture. If you prefer, selecting stretch mode will fill your screen with the graphic.
The larger files can take a little time to download, but they are presented uncompressed so as to preserve their image quality. Just copy them to your operating-system subdirectory (usually c:\windows), and they are ready to go.
